Neuron™ DAS Continuity Monitoring
DAS Continuity Monitoring for Reliable Network Performance
Consultix Neuron™ is a DAS continuity monitoring solution designed to help maintain network reliability by providing continuous visibility into DAS infrastructure health. The system uses battery-powered probes, known as Neuron tags or beacons, mounted directly on or near each DAS antenna. These probes periodically transmit a keep-alive signal through the DAS path to a central Neuron gateway located in the equipment room, confirming infrastructure continuity regardless of the technology or frequency bands in use.
Neuron™ is especially suited for medium to large venues where fast reporting intervals are required, with reporting available from as little as 3 minutes.
- Battery-operated probes are mounted on DAS antennas and periodically send keep-alive signals through the DAS network to the gateway.
- Verifies DAS infrastructure continuity regardless of the technologies or frequency bands being carried.
- Gateway receives probe messages from the DAS network through combiners, directional couplers, quadplexers, and similar components.
- Reports probe alarms and status information to the SpectraQual server.
- Available in different gateway variants for commercial and public safety applications.
- Non-intrusive probes compatible with virtually any DAS infrastructure.
- Cost-effective monitoring solution for DAS deployments.
- No band restrictions, provided the DAS path supports the keep-alive signal frequency range.
- Extended communication range between probes and gateway.
- Integrated with SpectraQual server for web-based operation, configuration, monitoring, and data analysis.
- Designed to support maximum frequency band flexibility.
- Frequency Bands: Monitors DAS continuity independent of operational bands, provided path components support the keep-alive signal frequency range.
- Measurements: DAS infrastructure continuity from equipment room to antenna.
- Probing Method: Periodic keep-alive signal transmitted from antenna to equipment room.
- Reporting Interval: 1 to 60 minutes.
- Battery Life: More than 4 years (at 15-minute reporting interval).
- Probe Weight: 35 g (1.25 oz).
- Gateway Capacity: Up to 1000 probes per gateway.
- Gateway Connectivity: Ethernet (optional Wi-Fi and Cellular).
- Server Setup: On-Premises or Cloud deployment.
