Profile 35b Testing Solutions ,versatile unit accepts 1, 2 or 3 line modules or other products that use Telebyte’s convenient line module form factor. At home in the lab or a high-volume production environment, it is capable of controlling from 1 – 24 channels and is ideal for testing DSL modems and other bandwidth-compliant telecom devices. While it can be used as a stand-alone unit, the built-in Control Module interfaces with a PC via RS-232, IEEE-488, or Ethernet. In addition, the 458 Universal GUI (included with purchase) may be used to control the unit from a PC. For added convenience, the Control Module firmware is field-upgradeable through the RS-232 port.

Telebyte’s 458 line modules simulate several cable types and offer the bandwidth requirements for today’s xDSL technologies such as varieties of ADSL, ADSL2+ and VDSL2. Line lengths and configuration settings appear on an LCD display on the front of the unit and can be set via a keypad. We also offer other modules that work with our 458-3SLB, including the 458-SM-2-16 Transparent Switching Module, 458-AWGN2 Dual Output AWGN Generator Line Module and the 458-RT Ring Trip Interference Simulator.

The Model 4902 Universal G.fast Noise Generator is available in two versions – portable and rack-mountable. The portable unit provides 2 to 16 independent Arbitrary Waveform Generator (AWG) outputs and includes a keyboard and built-in display. The higher-density version is rack-mountable and may be configured for 2 to 24 independent AWG outputs.

User-friendly configuration software allows the user to select and build impairment models common to DSL network implementations using ADSL2+, VDSL2, VDSL2 vectoring and G.fast. A generous assortment of custom crosstalk as well as impulse noises (e.g., REIN, SHINE and PEIN) can be created. It can also generate a wide variety of interferences above 30 MHz that may impact G.fast deployments. These include background Gaussian noise, high frequency impulse noise (PEIN, SHINE), FM radio, Broadcast TV, Spark Plug Ignition noise, PLC noise, Reverse Power Feed noise and more. In addition, user-defined files in several formats (such as MATLAB. CSV and Excel) may be imported. Optional noise modules automatically setup standards-based testing for TR-114, TR-105, TR-115, TR-100 and more.

The 4902 also works with an optional stand-alone noise injector, the Model 4902-D4, for injecting independent differential mode noise on 4 channels of the CO (or CPE) side of the loop or the VxT-N48 for injecting noises up to 30 MHz over 48 channels (independent or distributed).

The Model CFA-24 Transparent Cable Farm Automation Switch is a transparent, electrically neutral, switching device that allows up to twenty-four incoming cable farm lines to be switched to five different loop segments. Use your own cable or purchase cable from Telebyte (see Ordering Information).

Operating in a frequency band up to 212 MHz, the CFA-24 is highly suited to lab-grade testing of next-gen devices where live crosstalk is required (e.g., VDSL2 Vectoring or G.fast performance testing). Telebyte’s superior transparency delivers excellent crosstalk accuracy. Ideal for ID-337 G.fast Certification and TR-249 VDSL2 Vectoring testing.

Now you can have a flexible cable farm with micro-interruptions that is easy to automate and configure. Also supports Reverse Powering for G.fast.

Configurations may be expanded by adding channel expander units, allowing users to scale the number of pairs that can be switched from 24 to as many as needed, in groups of 24. In addition, segment extender units can be jumpered together to add more line segments. Flexibility is further enhanced by allowing each unit to be configured for multiple vectoring groups as well as co-located and non-co-located configurations. This scalability optimizes your CAPEX budget.
